Hearty Penne Beef

This is a new recipe, from my newest Simple and Delicious magazine. I'll review it after I make it!! I like the spinach aspect, I enjoy sneaking things into their food!

Ingredients:

1 3/4 cups uncooked penne pasta
1 pound ground beef
1 tsp. minced garlic
1 can (15 oz.) tomato puree
1 can (14 1/2 oz.) beef broth
1 1 /2 tsp. Italian seasoning
1 tsp. worcestire sauce
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 cups chopped fresh spinach
2 cups (8 oz.) shredded part skim mozzerella cheese

Cook pasta according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a dutch oven, cook beef and garlic over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Stir in the tomato puree, broth, Italian seasoning, worcestire sauce, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, simmer, uncovered, for 10-15 minutes or until slightly thickened. Add spinach; cook for 1-2 minutes or until spinach is wilted. Drain pasta; stir into beef mixture. Sprinkle with cheese; cover and cook for 3-4 minutes until cheese is melted.
